Cherub Lamp
This shade happens to be another custom order. The customer emailed me photo's of this beautiful porcelain lamp base with Cherubs, complete with dimensions, and asked me to design a shade for it. This is the result. This is a truly one-of-a-kind lamp shade, because I only had enough of these Antique textiles to create this one. The main fabric is a very soft pale gray/blue silk organza, with hand beaded embroidery on it. I hand dyed the lying, to match the lamp base. This is just another example, for customers to see my work. I really LOVE doing "custom" orders so contact me!

Emperial Couple
I found these great bases, and fell in love with them!!! I had to make some custom shades for this majestic looking couple! Shades are small crescent shape, covered with tea stained, art deco lace from the 1920'S. As a focal point, both shades have matching original hand beaded embroidered Art Deco appliqués that are probably from a flapper dress from the early 1900's. Ruby red crushed satiny fabric covers sides of shades. Beautiful beaded fringe, with colors of reds, golds, and purples adorn shades. Hand dyed lining is in variegated colors of plum/red, and gold. Bases stand on top of cherry wood Chinese stands. These are beautiful porcelain bases and in mint condition! The colors in the bases are rich plums, reds, ivory, metallic gold, gray, and black. Wonderful vintage, ruby red "crystal ball" finials.
Both lamps stand a total of 24". This is from the very bottom of lamp to the very top of glass finials. The figures themselves, without the brass or wooded stands under them, are a total of approximately 10".

Jamaica Man
Fantastic Art Deco "Jamaican Man" lamp base. This was a custom order. The client wanted me to come up with a shade for this unusual base. She basically gave me "cart blanch" to design whatever I wanted. I choose this shape shade, because it reminds me of an umbrella. I decided that I liked the idea of Vintage tropical "Bark Cloth", that is from the 1930's. The man is holding a basket of tropical fruit, so I got the idea to hand bead glass fringe, with glass fruit in the fringe. She was happy ...and that makes me happy.

Magic Geshia Girl
This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND lamp! Hand made, Victorian, Oriental lampshade, that has been paired up with a Vintage Geisha Girl lamp base! The shade is covered with antique textiles. The main part of the shade is covered with the fabric from a Gorgeous Antique Japanese silk Kimono. The Vintage Geisha Girl base is a ceramic (or porcelain... I'm really not sure...). Her colors are soft pastels, of peach, pale turquoise, spring green, yellow, red. She is holding a gift....SHE WANTS TO GIVE IT TO YOU!! It was this charming lamp base that inspired me to create a shade that had the same colors, feel, and look to it as a "Glowing" Japanese lantern. You really can't appreciate the magical "Glow", and the beautiful colors, and details until you see this in person. The entire lamp with the shade stand 22" tall. The Geisha Girl is 9 & 1/2" tall, with an extra (almost) 2" tall from the brass stand. The shade is 8 & 1/2" from top to bottom, with an extra 4" of pale green glass beaded fringe that drape from shade like dew drops.
